Classic Homes of Maryland

Prem Puri
President / Builder

Prem Puri

Since 1983 Prem has been building single family homes and town homes. In that time, he has delivered over 1,200 beautifully appointed, well-designed and well-constructed homes in our communities and on customers’ own lots. Prem has a flair for design, and an eye for value, and is the father of Classic Homes, a family owned company. He has the experience that only decades in the industry can provide and the stability that only a well-run, family-owned company has. He has been there for our customers for 25 years and he truly considers each one a part of his family. In 1998, Prem founded the DD Puri Foundation and wished to contribute funds to the most unfortunate - those who were too poor to afford necessary medical care in developing countries. He founded the Trust, a non-profit charitable organization (501c1), that would allocate funds for medicine, hospitalization expenses, surgery, education and more to those in need.  Since then, the foundation has expanded to work in three different regions of the world, on a multitude of projects. Today 100% of his personal earnings go to the foundation.

His daughter and her husband are now building with him in Maryland and his son builds in Virginia (ANV Construction).

Amita Jain
Vice President of
Sales & Marketing

Amita Jain

Amita learned about building homes from a young age by watching her father, Prem Puri, and decided to follow in his footsteps. After receiving her degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, and working for large corporations including Ernst & Young, Intelsat, and Wall Street firm Morgan Stanley, Amita brought her corporate IT background to the construction industry. She focused on developing new software systems specific to her company’s needs to achieve higher efficiency in production.

Amita has been featured in Bethesda Magazine as one of the top women in business in the area. She and her company have also been filmed on Builder's Showcase, a special on home building in the area, which will air this year on various cable channels. She has been invited to speak on radio show on ESPN radio where she gives listeners an insight into building on their own land. She believes that it’s the customers who have made Classic Homes what it is today - an organization that wants to give back to the community that has trusted them for over 25 years in building the homes that made their lives.

Dinesh "DJ" Jain
Vice President of Operations

Dinesh 'DJ' Jain

DJ oversees all of the construction projects in Maryland. He is a native of India where he managed a business in steel production from the age of 18. He earned his degree in Business Management from Delhi University while working full-time. At the age of 24, he opened a business in Russia where he lived and worked for 2 years until he moved to New York City. He continued on his business ventures in NYC for several years and in 2006, when he met and married his wife, the two moved to Maryland to build with Prem Puri. DJ's tenacity, drive, and love of the industry contribute to his success as a young builder. In his eyes, all staff and all customers are an extension of his own family. He takes the time to know each customer, many on a personal level, and is quickly accepted as not just a builder, but a friend to his homeowners.

Louis Todd
Manager / Engineer

Louis Todd

Louis entered the building industry in 1988, building homes in Virginia. 20 years of experience have given him the ability to efficiently manage every aspect of the construction process. He is responsible for logistics of materials and labor, coordinating contractors and the schedule they must follow, and making sure each home he manages is delivered on time, within the budgets he is given, while making sure each contractor and their work meets the high standards of quality Classic Homes sets as their own. He is a “field general” efficiently planning, managing every vehicle and person who walks onto his jobsite, and resolving any issue that may come about that could jeopardize his goal of delivering our clients homes on time and ensuring that the quality of his finished product is almost pristine.

Louis does not end his supervision when the clients move into their homes. He makes it a point to stop by and say "hi” to our clients asking them how things are in their new home and if they need anything to make their new home living more comfortable.

Anthony Dominici
Writer, Producer, Director

Anthony Dominici, two-time Emmy-winning producer, is currently the Executive Producer of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition for ABC.

“So many people in my family were devastated by Hurricane Katrina, I see Extreme Makeover: Home Edition as my opportunity to pay back all those who helped my city in its time of need,” says Dominici, a New Orleans native.

Dominici served as Executive Producer of America’s Next Top Model with Tyra Banks for seven seasons, which consistently garnered the highest ratings for the CW network. He won two Emmy Awards for his work as Supervising Producer of The Amazing Race.  He produced MTV's The Real World – Chicago and directed The Real World – New Orleans, The Real World/Road Rules Extreme Challenge, and The Real World – New York.

Dominici began his career as a camera assistant and later became a director of photography before producing and directing. His work as an assistant offered him opportunities to work with and learn from modern masters including Steven Spielberg, John Woo, and Bill Condon, as well as PBS Frontline documentaries “Pablo Escobar,” “Lee Harvey Oswald,” and “Dead Man Walking.” Cinematography credits include short films, music videos featured on MTV’s Beavis & Butthead and Headbanger’s Ball, and the low-budget feature-film, Final Cut.

Dominici’s American Film Institute short, Gray Matter (co-writer, director), premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and won the The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Award, The New York Expo Jury Award, and the AFI Bridges/Larson Directing Award.  His second film, Peter Rabbit and the Crucifix (writer, producer, director), received prizes from several festivals including Sundance.

Dominici graduated from The American Film Institute conservatory with an MFA in Directing and a Certificate in Cinematography. He received his BA in Fine Arts Photography from The University of New Orleans.

David Goldberg
President, Endemol USA

In October of 2000, David Goldberg was hired as president of Endemol USA and given full oversight of the company’s launch. In just three and a half years, Endemol USA has established itself as one of the leading suppliers of non-scripted programming in the U.S. The company’s current hits include “Fear Factor,” “Big Brother” and “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” In 2004 “Fear Factor” made television history by becoming the first primetime network reality show to make it into off-network syndication. For the 2004 season Endemol USA will have at least one series on each of the top four U.S. networks, adding “The Next Great Champ,” with Oscar De La Hoya, and “The Untitled Kathy Hilton project” to the list of shows already in production. In 2003 Goldberg guided the acquisition of TRUE Entertainment, a New York-based production company and a leading supplier of cable programming. He is responsible for the company’s oversight.

Prior to launching Endemol USA, Goldberg served as a programming and development executive at Time Warner television unit Telepictures. During his six-year tenure, he worked on such first-run hits as “Extra,” the dating game show “Change of Heart” and the game show “Street Smarts.” He worked as a development executive for Quincy Jones/David Salzman Entertainment and, before that, served as a freelance director and associate director. Born and raised in New Canaan, CT, he lives in Los Angeles, California.
